This gallery chronicles the rather momentous weekend we just went through here in Uralla. Locals say this was the biggest snow storm since 1984 or so. Boffins say it was the merging of two fronts – I have yet to research that.

It starts with a whimperThis photo doesn't really show it, but it marks the time that I spotted the first few flakes, 8.30 am on the 2nd of August. At this time we hadn't actually seen a forecast saying we were getting snow, but then I checked it, and sure 'nuff, there it was in the forecast. Only a couple of flakes, then it stopped, so I thought, well that's it then.
